Spring Break – Three Perfect Places to Go
As the fine weather edges closer and the cold temperatures start to take a hike, it’s the perfect time to start planning on where you want to take your spring break. And it doesn’t have to be a crazy holiday in Cancun. Here are three places in Europe to revel and enjoy what the world has to offer during spring break.
Berlin
The capital of Germany knows how to celebrate once the weather turns warm. The city springs to life at the same time as the flowers and trees. There are the daily walking tours (the graffiti tour is especially fun), a 520 acre urban park that begs to be explored and, of course, other famous attractions like the Brandenburg Gate.
There’s so much to be see when you’re on city breaks. The beauty of this city is that it’s easy to get around by bicycle, so you can capture a lot of it. Add that to the falafel and currywurst stands that are around every corner, a week that you and your belly won’t forget. It is one of my favorite cities in Europe!
Paris
Ah Paris, the most romantic city in the world. There’s nothing like it in the spring. The trees and flowers are bursting at the seams with color; many travelers visit to Paris to explore the city and its colorful parks and gardens. Take a stroll anywhere in the city and you’ll soon see the appeal, it’s simply beautiful. Spring is also the perfect time to act like a local, with Paris’s cafe terrace in full force.
Lounge around in a Parisian cafe and watch life go by. Sitting around has never been more relaxing or fun, and isn’t that what spring break is all about anyway? There are also a bunch of unusual things to do in Paris.
Lisbon
Visiting Lisbon in the spring means you get to enjoy all the summer has to offer, but with none of the sweltering heat. You can go for a walk on some picturesque beaches, party all night and soak in the culture. For the adventurous, you can even head 40 minutes west and walk around in a real life fairy tale at Sintra.
This UNESCO World Heritage site has castles, overlooks, and supernatural (almost) tunneled staircases. Think of it as the polar opposite to Castle Black in Game of Thrones, and you get the idea.
Whether you’re looking for some sun or a new place to explore, these three cities are sure to be a memorable and fun spring break. All that’s left is for you to unique bucket list ideas you want to conquer first.
